Curriculum Vitae: Studied musicology at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno where he graduated in 1993 with a master's thesis on the problems of music printing in Italy around 1600. He extended his musical studies by studying the performance practice of Italian seicento music (R. Gini) and the playing of historical plucked instruments (P. Beier) at the International Academy of Music in Milan. He has been systematically studying the history and repertoire of plucked instruments in Europe in the 16th-18th centuries (project Thesaurus Testudinis Bohemiae - Repertoire of plucked instruments in Bohemia and Moravia before 1800, GAČR P409/12/2517), and he also focuses on the practice of music of the 15th-18th centuries, the theory of musical notation, musical iconography, historical organology, etc.
